because there are too many girls who don’t know to avoid buying them and end up looking exactly like this:

Its embarrassing for everyone involved, and makes me think you have no mirrors in your house and/or have no friends who like you enough to tell you better.

Helen Mirren is the most bangin’ 60+ year old ever. I aspire to look that great when I’m her age! She was at the National Board of Review Awards last night in a Jacques Azagury dress.

Pantone has revealed that their colour of the year for 2012 is Tangerine Tango. They describe the colour like this:
Tangerine Tango, a spirited reddish orange, continues to provide the energy boost we need to recharge and move forward.
“Sophisticated but at the same time dramatic and seductive, Tangerine Tango is an orange with a lot of depth to it,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute®. “Reminiscent of the radiant shadings of a sunset, Tangerine Tango marries the vivaciousness and adrenaline rush of red with the friendliness and warmth of yellow, to form a high-visibility, magnetic hue that emanates heat and energy.”

You’ll see the influence of this colour in fashion, cosmetics and home decor throughout the year
This is too funny not to post:
Teija Vesterbacka is married to one of the executives of Rovio. Rovio is the company that created the uber-popular game Angry Birds. She wore this dress to an independence day celebration at the Finish Presidential Palace. It looks surprisingly chic for a video game-themed dress though. At least the dress isn’t fashioned after one of the uglier birds, or worse, the pigs!
The FLOTUS is killing it in royal blue. Barack is looking pretty sharp as well at the 34th annual Kennedy Center honors last night.

What a happy looking commercial, I wish my holidays looked like that
I think they should make a tax so that when you earn a certain amount of money, you have to spend a certain amount on shopping. To buy whatever … And that way, we create tons of jobs. I think it’s a good idea. What I hate is people with a lot of money who don’t spend it.
Karl Lagerfeld to WWD on how he’d fix the economy.

I bought this skirt last week at the brand new Joe Fresh standalone store at Queen St. and Portland in Toronto. It was absolute chaos. All of T.O.’s fashionistas, as well as the stylish frugalistas were tearing apart the store in search of the exclusive runway items you can’t find in the grocery store locations. I snagged my size in the the fringe metallic skirt which I’ve been eyeing on the website for ages. I picked up the gold, because, as anyone who knows me knows, gold is my metallic of choice. I’ve never owned any metallic clothing, but I decided, if I was going to fight off the hoards in the store for this item, might as well be daring and go for the gold.
Sadly though, when I go home I decided I’m not daring enough to rock the gold, and exchanged it for black instead. The black is still just as awesome, but not as edgy. I’m excited to wear it though. Tomorrow!

Beyoncé - Run The World (Girls) (by beyonceVEVO)
The song’s just alright, I think, but the video is fierce! I love the concept and the fashion’s amazing. The whole time I was like, “Woman! Please stop rolling those gorgeous clothes in the dirt!”.
Chalk up on more amazing video for the unstoppable Beyonce.
